From the time I was seven years old, I'd sit my well-loved Curious George stuffed monkey on the counter while I attempted yet another batch of cookies.

Ever since, both food and writing have been a source of inspiration to me through the good and the bad.They have proved to be my oasis and now, as I continuously strive to replicate the memories of my first sugary nirvana, I'm reminded of the power of a comforting food and a thoughtful word.
